Dear Friends
These few words are addressed to all of you who, in the first incredible nine months of our business, came to us in the hopes of finding peace and serenity in a tiny corner of Italy, lost amongst the undulating slopes of Tuscany. You picked Villa Armena from thousands of alternatives. Our days were animated by your smiles, stories and simpatia. To all of you, our dear friends, we would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU!
Yesterday morning we discovered that we have been awarded the Trip Advisor Traveller's Choice 2013 award for the Luxury category. We can still hardly believe it but we are terrifically satisfied.
And we owe it all to you. You supported us, with a judicious word here and there or a well-timed compliment; you encouraged us to give our best.
It feels like only yesterday when we decided to throw ourselves into this mad adventure. At the time we were aged 29 and 26. All we knew was that we wanted to create something beautiful. All our free time was dedicated to studying, thinking and planning. We dreamed of finishing our project. We looked at the existing properties and wondered if we would ever reach their levels, respectful of their achievements and yet ever more determined to succeed.
Five years went by. And now, when Elena and I look at each other, we know that we've done it.
Certainly it's been hard work and we have had to face many difficulties of all kinds; personal, bureaucratic, financial, administrative.. you name it. Unfortunately Italy is a country that tends not to appreciate commitment and with an inflexible culture of "we always have done it this way." But all this just increases our pleasure at the results we have achieved, thanks to you, of course.
You chose us and so kindly shared your appreciation, allowing us to obtain astounding results in an amazingly short period of time.
One thing we feel we can promise is that we will not rest on our laurels. NEVER.
We will work harder and harder, with more determination and sacrifice, more commitment day after day. We will make sure that what we offer is what a guest (or Friend as we prefer to think of you) of Villa Armena deserves.
Thank you again, dear friends. You couldn't have given us a better gift.
